For current students
If you are a current student that wants to get even more involved with WEN, here are some opportunities:
1. WEN Ally
Even without being a WEN member, you can stay up to date with awesome events and opportunities to involve yourself in promoting diversity and inclusion in the UOA Engineering Faculty, by signing up to be a WEN Ally!
2. WEN Leader
Do you have a passion for inspiring and empowering women in engineering? Want to make a difference and put on awesome events for your fellow female engineers? Then becoming a WEN Leader is the perfect role for you!
Being a WEN leader allows you to build your leadership and organisation skills while giving back to current students and inspiring the future generation of female engineers. All year levels (including postgraduate students) are welcome to apply.
WEN Leader applications open in semester 2, keep your eye out for the email!
3. WEN Outreach Team
Do you want to develop your communication and presentation skills? Keen to inspire the next generation of engineers?
The aim of our outreach programmes is to connect with a diverse network of students and teachers, introducing them to interesting opportunities in Engineering, and showcase the wide range of work of our engineering staff and students.
Our one hour workshops are run by current female undergraduate students and are designed to showcase the different opportunities in engineering and give high school students a hands-on experience to apply their math and physics knowledge.
